Plastimac entered the demanding field of industrial packaging by presenting at the Dusseldorf trade fair five years ago, the continuos extrusion blow-moulding machine PB30/S. Suitable for the production of high molecular weight canisters, this machine showed new solutions and amazing performances: the clamping force of 30 tons is made possible by a 5,5 Kw hydraulic unit working at 100 bar only! The clamping group slides on linear guides driven by a servomotor. Plastimac was the first company to introduce the use of linear guides in the blow moulding field, making so evident the capacity to innovate and the high technological standard of its Plastiblow machines. Linear guides guarantee high precision in movements, reduced friction and lower wear. The mould-holder plates also slide on linear guides and their movement, like the blow-pin, is controlled by proportional valves. PB30, like all Plastiblow blow-moulding machines, is equipped with a mould clamping group with toggle system. This force amplification system reduces consumption and avoids useless oversizing of mechanical parts and hydraulic unit. Particularly, the PB30/S hydraulic unit has an oil tank of 150 litres only, and a multifrequency motor power of 5,5 Kw to fulfil all the hydraulic movements. Considering the machine has a clamping force of 30 tons, these are superior features showing the really low energy consumption of the machine. It is worth while highlighting that the continue extrusion technology offers several advantages if compared with the accumulator heads one: better quality, easy and quick change of colour, faster cycles, better thickness control and better necks calibration. Moreover, companies working in the industrial packaging field increasingly use machines with carriage sliding on linear guides, instead of fixed carriage machines, because all finishing operations inside the machine are easier and simple. All Plastiblow machines are tailor-made and this availability is one of the most important characteristics to get to the heart of a specialised, exigent and proficient market. The product range includes single and double station blow-moulding machines for the processing of industrial containers up to 30 litres, equipped with traditional or forced feed extruders to work with high molecular weight polyethylene, both granule and powder. All the lines may have one or more post-cooling stations to reduce the production cycles of UN homologated stackable canisters; and they may be equipped with SFDR or PWDS systems to control and improve the radial thickness. When producing knapsack sprayers or pressure pumps our machines may be endowed with lower blowing units with retractor and unscrewing blow-pins to make inside threads. Among the several ancillaires we mention, aside from the patented electric parison control and the patented system for the fine tuning of neck calibration, the automatic devices to finish the articles inside the machine, the blowing needles for welded handles, the in-line quality-control units, the boxing machines and manipulators, the view-stripe system, etc.
